Last week we began talking about our 5 senses. When asking the boys and girls which one of their 5 senses they thought was the most important, it seemed to me that they did not grasp the concept of what it would be like to not be able to have one of the 5 senses. So I figured the best way for them the understand was for them to have one of them taken away (temporarily of course). I broke out the blindfolds and the students had a chance to try and figure out their way around the classroom without being able to see. Needless to say, after this little experiment the boys and girls understood why their 5 senses are so important! We had a good time and good laugh watching our friends try find their way around the room.
